Cut from a shell very similar to the blacklip oyster, the brownlip is arguably the most iridescent of all inlay materials. It is available in polished shell form, individual inlay slabs, as well as matched pairs. Availability of the larger sizes is unpredictable. This is currently the largest available size for brownlip.
